St. Philip Annual Parish Festival

SEPTEMBER 24, 2022

Festival Ticket & T-Shirt Sales Starting Sept 10/11

The Parish Festival is just over 2 weeks away. In these last three weekends prior to the festival, sales for raffle tickets, pancake breakfast, and t-shirts will take place each weekend. Yard signs to help promote the festival and parish will also be available.

Parishioners will also be able to register for positions after Mass. Shifts are normally 2 to 3 hours. There are a number of activities that are great for teens or that parents can do with their children.

Wine Tasting with Father Briggs

At this year's festival, Father Briggs will host a special wine tasting event. Prior to being ordained, he worked at a winery in the Shenandoah Valley. Father will share his knowledge with a group of parishioners over a small selection of wines. This event will last about 1 hour and be limited to 40 slots. Suggested donation for this event is $20. Tickets will be available with the raffle tickets and other festival items after all Masses the next two weekends.

Add an International Dessert to Your International Dinner

This year we are asking parishioners from our various communities to enrich the international dinner by preparing a dessert for the native land or heritage. By doing so, we will be able to better demonstrate the diverse cultural backgrounds represented at St. Philip. There will be a special signup sheet for persons interested into providing a dessert. While signing up, please tells us the county of origin so we have it properly labelled.

Keep Bringing Donations for the Silent Auction, Catholic Store, Furniture Store & Kids Rooms

Items for the Catholic Store and Silent Auction can be brought to the Rectory during office hours. Catholic Store items include statues, crosses, religious-related jewelry or other items of faith. Silent Auction items should be new or gently used items that have a minimum worth of $25-$30. For furniture items, especially large ones, please contact Suzanne Webb.

We also need donations for our Kids Room. Please help us fill the room with new or gently used (& complete) games, toys, strollers, sports equipment, arts/craft goods or other items for young children. (We cannot accept car seats.)
